Mission Statement

Paws in the Classroom is the part of our organization that focuses on educating the public on the care, positive reinforcement training, and communication of dogs. Our mission is to make education contagious, teaching children and adults to listen to dogs, treat them with compassion and respect, and to share what they have learned with their friends and family. We believe that if we want to make dogs lives better, have less dogs in our shelters, and prevent anyone from ever experiencing the trauma of being bitten by a dog, we need to educate as many people as possible in the art of dog communication!
